Q&A - ABAP agent Runtime Measurements

Q: How to remove a huge volume of ABAP agent-generated measurements in order to for example avoid any SAP performance impact? (Is there a way to auto-clean runtime measurement?)

A: The measurements are automatically deleted for those users to whom the authorization role /DVD/APPD_USER is assigned. 

(When all users have the authorization role, the trace files are automatically deleted after the measurement is ended.) 

The current solution is to add that role and authorization profile of this role to all monitored users. The intended use case of the auth. role /DVD/APPD_USER is to add it to all those users when possible.

The application log with "log object /DVD/APPD with ATRA Trace" will allow checking the affected user(s).
