How to find out the version of Datavard Insights AppDynamics Licenses

Steplist for a customer how to find out the current version:

  1. Execute /DVD/MON transaction
  2. Click on the top-left button with the Datavard logo
  3. From the menu, select the "Datavard Insights - About" item, and a dialog box "About" opens. Here you can see the "Product" frame with the "Version" field.

If a customer's version is equal to or greater than 1805, the customer asks us for a customer ID creation (in case it was not created yet) and then AppDynamics support will generate a license via a web tool (through website https://athena.datavard.com/ - the validity is by default set till December 31, 9999) on their own according to the updated information they received. This is an approach we want to keep in the future.


If the version of Datavard Insights is lower than 1805, Datavard support has to generate the license for the customer.

In that case, they need to provide us with the following information:

  • SAP System ID
  • SAP Release
  • SAP Installation Number
  • Hardware Key
  • Number of Application Servers
