(Glue-2408) (Obsolete) Extraction Scheduler

Extraction scheduler is a tool that lets you effectively schedule and execute multiple extractions. To access the Extraction scheduler tool, use the transaction /DVD/GL_ESCH or a button in the SNP Glue™ Cockpit in Tools > Glue Utilities.

Extraction Scheduler parameters

Job name: This parameter specifies a name for the job.

Number of jobs: This parameter specifies the number of background jobs.

Application server: Optional input, specifying an application server executing the process. If left empty, the current application server will be used.

Application server group: Optional input, specifying an application server group executing the process. If left empty, the current application server will be used.

Load type: This parameter specifies the load type of extraction. If the extraction process does not provide a delta load, the extraction will be executed in Full Load (Repair) Without Delta Update mode by default. This parameter is applied only for extractions without a variant.

Objects selection

Objects can be moved between the Available objects and Selected Objects lists by the drag and drop action or by buttons. A popup will be displayed to allow a variant selection for specific objects.

You can save Selected objects as Variant using the Ctrl+S, load saved Variant using the button in the toolbar, or delete the saved variant using the Goto tab. It is possible to access all variant actions using this tab.

If an inactive or non-existent extraction process is saved in the variant, this inconsistency will be detected upon variant load and the inconsistent process will be removed from the selection. A warning message will be displayed.

Extraction Scheduler execution

To execute extractions use the Schedule extractions button. You can schedule these extractions to execute at any time. Extractions are executed in parallel considering the max number of jobs specified in the extraction scheduler using the Task handler. To check the jobs' progress, you can use transaction SM37 or the Manage button in the toolbar.
