(DI-2311) Troubleshooting steps while adding a new SAP system

If any unexpected error occurred while adding a new SAP system, you can check the following recommendation for further investigation:

  1. Check if all SAP System prerequisites are met for the new SAP system, also with the prerequisites for remote SAP system monitoring

  2. If any error regarding the function module TH_SERVER_LIST occurred, you can check the chapter Function "TH_SERVER_LIST" failed due the missing authorizations

  3. Check the missing authorizations of the RFC user defined in the ABAP connection to the remote SAP System

    1. You can check the missing authorizations by executing the transaction SU53 on the remote SAP system and by providing the username of the configured RFC user.

  4. Check the system logs by executing the transaction SM21 on the central and the remote SAP systems

    1. Find and check any related error logs raised by CB Monitoring (such logs can be identified by included program name starting with /DVD/MON*)

  5. Try to execute the function module /DVD/MON_SYS_INFO_DETAIL with the used ABAP connection manually via the transaction SE37
