(Glue-2105) Automatic adjustment of Consumer structure
Extraction process of Extractor 2.0 allows you to adjust the structure of Consumer automatically according to the actual structure of Fetcher during the run of Process Chain.
Example: You created an Extraction Process with Advanced DSO Fetcher and Glue Table Consumer and scheduled this Extraction Process in the Process Chain. Then, you added a new InfoObject to your Advanced DSO. Normally, you would need to adjust the structure of your Glue table manually by adding the corresponding field to its structure. The same can be done automatically if you enable automatic adjustment of Consumer structure.
To enable this feature you need to fulfill the following prerequisites:
The checkbox “Automatically adjust consumer structure” should be selected in the extraction process.
The extraction process should be executed from Process Chain using “Datavard Glue Data Extraction Process” which can be found in section “Load Process and Postprocessing” in RSPC (see screenshot below) or directly from the report /DVD/GL_RUN_EXTRACTION
The checkbox “Automatically adjust consumer structure” will appear in the extraction process only for a certain combination of Fetcher and Consumer:
Fetcher type: Advanced DSO Fetcher
Consumer type: Glue Table Consumer
Currently only adding new InfoObjects to the source ADSO is supported by Glue. Removing InfoObjects or changing their data type or length is not supported and will result in an error during extraction from Process Chain.
It’s not enough just to check the checkbox “Automatically adjust consumer structure” for the setting to take effect. Your Extraction process must be executed from Process Chain (RSPC) using specific Load Process “Datavard Glue Data Extraction Process” or from the report /DVD/GL_RUN_EXTRACTION. If you execute the Extraction Process report directly from Glue Object Navigator (/DVD/GL80) or standard ABAP Editor (SE38), the structure will not be adjusted.
