(GLUE-1812) Standard DSO to Storage Extractor

Standard DSO to Storage extractor allows you to transfer data from standard DSOs to an external storage.

To create Standard DSO to Storage extractor please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Glue Extractor Workbench.
  2. Right-click on Standard DSO to Storage and select Create Extractor.
  3. Specify the following parameters:
    • Extractor name - a technical name of the extractor
    • Description
    • Extractor type this value is predefined, but you can change it using a simple drop-down menu. To create Standard DSO to Storage extractor, select this type.
    • Source InfoProvider - a source InfoProvider from which data is transferred. In this case standard DSO object.

Only standard DSOs are supported by this extractor type. It's not possible to create this type of extractor using write-optimized DSOs or other InfoProviders than the standard DSOs.

    • Target tabletarget external (Glue) table
  4. Specify a Package

  5. For Standard DSO to Storage extractor only Change log delta is supported and you cannot alter it to a different delta type. Define Delta parameters with these steps:
    1. Click on Tools
    2. Select the checkbox by the Record mode values which should be loaded from the Change log table of the specified DSO.

    3. Confirm. For more information about Change log delta, see the chapter (GLUE-1812) BW Delta Mechanisms.
  6. In the case Glue table was generated from fields of source InfoProvider, the field mapping is generated by Glue automatically.
If not, you might need to specify Field Mapping manually. In this case fill in the fields in the column Source Table Field which are missing or aren't set correctly.
The Selection column in the Fieldname Mapping table is used to select fields, which are used for filtering (selection) of data by the Variant definition. More information can be found in the part Variant Selection

  7. Before you use an extractor, save it and activate it. In the case you activate an unsaved extractor, it is saved automatically before activation.
  8. The next step is to create a (GLUE-1812) Variant.
