SAP ASE Blob is a binary connector for SAP ASE DB as a secondary DB.

Storage setup - SAP ASE

In the Storage Management Setup (/DVD/SM_SETUP), create new storage.

Open

• Storage ID: name of the storage

• Storage Type: type of storage. Use storage type "BLOB_ASE" for the SAP ASE storage.

• Description:  short text description

• Blob Size: You can select the size of a blob that is uploaded to SAP ASE storage.

• Database Prefix

• DB Connection Name: existing SAP database connection ( DBCO ).

Example configuration of DBCO ( NSD system ) :

SYBASE_SERVER=vsks055

SYBASE_PORT=4901

SYBASE_DBNAME=DVD

SYBASE_DBOWNER=SAPSR3
