(DI-2211) Create a Secondary HANA Connection
CrystalBridge® Monitoring is running on the SAP ABAP system, therefore it needs a secondary database connection to the Native HANA database for its monitoring.
To enable the connection to the HANA database, create the connection as follows:
Start the transaction DBCO (or start transaction SM30, enter the Table/View DBCON and click Maintain)
Click New Entries.
Enter DB Connection (e.g. NATIVE_HANA) and set DBMS to HDB.
Enter a valid User Name and DB password.
The required user is a HANA database connect user, created in the monitored HANA database. It needs to have administrator privileges for the monitoring to work correctly, and also please ensure that roles AFL_SYS_AFL_ERPA_EXECUTE and DBA_COCKPIT are assigned to this user. It is recommended to create a user used for this connection. For security and compliance reasons it is advised to avoid the use of system or SAP application connect users.
5. Enter hostname and communication port in the Conn. info field.
6. Save the connection
When the Database connection is created and saved, you might test it via the report ADBC_TEST_CONNECTION in transaction SE38.
