(DI-2211) Configuration of HTTP Destination for SAP NetWeaver AS Java

To be able to communicate with Java AS and collect data, the valid HTTP Destination needs to be configured for monitoring. Please follow these steps for the valid configuration:

  1. Execute transaction SM59

  2. Create a new RFC Destination

General information

  1. Fill RFC Destination name.

  2. Fill Connection Type field with value 'G' (HTTP Connection to External Server)

  3. Fill Description

Technical settings

  1. Fill valid Target Host and Service no. (Port).

Logon & Security

  1. Set the Basic authentication option and fill in the Logon credentials.

Connection test

When all required fields are configured as mentioned in the steps above, you might execute the Connection Test.

After this test execution, you should receive the HTTP response with status 200. Otherwise, the configuration was not successful.

When HTTP Destination for Java NetWeaver AS is configured properly, you might use it for adding a new system for SAP NetWeaver Java.
