DataProviderAny object that can be archived with SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering (e.g. DSO, database table).
DataProvider WizardA four-step process that guides the user by the setup of a new DataProvider.
Step 'Object selection'The first step of the DataProvider Wizard. Basic information as a DataProvider name, source/ target storage, and the offloading condition is defined.
Step 'Impact analysis'The second step of the DataProvider Wizard. Impact analysis finds dependent objects as are queries and lookups for the selected DataProvider.
Step 'Object adjustment'The third step of the DataProvider Wizard. Dependent objects are adjusted.
Step 'Scheduling'The fourth step of the DataProvider Wizard. Scheduling the transfer of data to target storage within a specified time and period.

The process is necessary to perform before actual archiving. This process involves the steps 'Impact analysis' and 'Object adjustment'.

DataProvider request

Request for processing of a DataProvider. A request consists of one offload and one reload of a DataProvider.

Partitioning requestSub-request of a DataProvider request. One DataProvider request can consist of several partitioning requests.
