What is the difference between manual lock and scheduled lock of system?

If you want to lock system for unlimited time period you best option is to use manual lock. Manual lock can be set in Landscape editor.

If you want to lock system for limited time period (e.g. during few hours, days,..) with possibility to do this task on regular basis (e.g. each month) you can use scheduled lock for this. Scheduled lock can be set by execution of system task: Scheduling of System Lock.
