(2108) Authorizations in DataTiering
This topic covers the authorizations in DataTiering that permit or forbid specific activities. The users are granted permission by the authorization object /DVD/OFF.
There are two authorization roles that can be assigned to the user:
- /DVD/OFF_MAINTAIN
- /DVD/OFF_EDIT
- /DVD/OFF_DISPLAY
Authorization to Maintain
Users with the SAP role /DVD/OFF_MAINTAIN can access the complete DataTiering functionality. They have permission to:
- Add, edit and delete a DataProvider
- Schedule a DataProvider or a DataProvider group
- Edit or delete scheduled jobs
- Execute the Impact analysis
- Switch the object status and execute adjustments
- Transport a DataProvider and its settings to another system
- Maintain storages
- Edit DataTiering settings
- Start group archiving with process chains
- Access archived data
Users with the role /DVD/OFF_MAINTAIN obtain authorizations to standard transactions as are LISTCUBE, PFCG, RSA1, RSRT, SE16, SE38, SM37, ST22, SLG1, and RSPC.
Authorization to Edit
Users with this role have the same authorizations as users with the Maintain role, with the exception of deleting a DataProvider.
Authorization to Display
Users with the SAP role /DVD/OFF_DISPLAY have restricted access to DataTiering. They have permission to:
- Access the Request Browser
- Display all jobs in the Job Monitor
- Display the source provider
- View logs
- View DataTiering settings
- Access archived data
Users with the role /DVD/OFF_DISPLAY obtain authorizations to standard transactions as are LISTCUBE, RSA1, RSRT, SE16, ST22, SLG1, and SM37.
Authorization to maintain in DataProvider Wizard
Users with the role /DVD/OFF_MAINTAIN have the permission to perform the following operations in DataProvider Wizard:
- Add DataProvider
- Change Group ID
- Change condition
- Execute Impact analysis
- Switch object status
- Execute adjustment
- Schedule DataProvider
