(DV-2011) BEx Analyzer

BEx Analyzer testing performs tests of excel-based reporting analyses (i.e. last level of reporting), which are created using BEx Analyzer reporting tool embedded with Microsoft Excel. Data in each workbook is refreshed and downloaded to Validate for comparison.

Prerequisites for BEx Analyzer testing

• In Microsoft Excel add the Excel add-in BExAnalyzer.xla. It can be usually found in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SAP Shared\BW.

Prerequisites for BEx Analyzer

• BI 7.X tools (BEx) require 32-bit version of MS Office (see SAP note 1995532).
• For BI add-on 7.X (based 7.40) Support Package 9 use patch 10 or higher (BI740SP09P_910-20012040.EXE available on market place) because of an error in lower versions.
