1. Main View

a. Default View

Overview:

This is the default view of Datavard Insights (DI) when the user enters the Fiori application.The user can observe and monitor the system status as well as sett some additional capabilities for faster and better monitoring. In the case new errors and notifications occur on the system,  the application retrieves them in the background and provides data for them.


In this view are displayed all systems which can be maintained in Datavard Insights. The user can see all systems except for those, which are hidden by the administrator, based on user permissions or by the user him/herself.

Each system has a tile with necessary information like - Name, Group, System status, KPI Value, KPI UoM and KPI Trend.


Additional Features and Capabilities:

(1) The Customization button provides the possibility to set additional settings on the System Alerts Notification functionality.

(2) The Mute button helps the user to mute the sound notifications.

(3) The Notification button opens the list with all recent errors which were recorded for all the systems within the monitoring dashboard.

(4) Group By button provides a possibility to change the system grouping according to the current status.

(5) Edit view button gives the user the capability to hide unnecessary systems or groups from his/hers monitoring dashboard.

System Tile

Each system is displayed as a clickable tile.

Each tile provides necessary information for monitoring the system overall status.

     Defines the system name.

(2) System Type
    Defines the system type.

New Alerts Notification Pop-Up

When a new error occurs on one or more systems a new pop-up appears in the bottom left corner in the screen (1) and the user hears a sound which informs about the appearance of a new alert.

The pop-up displays the ID of the system in which the error occurred (2). The pop-up closes with the first click on the screen (the user can click on a button or in an empty space on the screen).

The dashboard also includes a customization level for the pop-up and the sound functionality. The information is located below in the chapter "Alerts Notification Customization". 

Available customization:

  1. Pop-up can be switched off
  2. Sound can be muted
  3. Volume can be changed
  4. There are 8 different sounds from which the user can choose





Alerts Notification Pop-Up

The user is able to see all the errors and notifications which appeared in the systems through the Notification button which is in the left bottom corner.

By selecting it, the user opens the error message dialog. All messages are shown as a list. (ascending)

(1) All messages are shown in the first tab.

(2) All messages are divided by their type and accessible by clicking the special tab.

(3) With Close button the user can close the dialog.

(4) Message Type and System Name.

(5) The user can navigate to the message detail view in each row.

(2) Message type, System Name, Message description.

(3) Close dialog.

b. Group By Status View

Overview:

To group systems by their status, the user needs to press the Group By button which is located in the footer of the window (1) and choose "System Status" option from the menu (picture below).
The grouping which is chosen is marked as disabled.




The user navigates to a similar view where all systems are grouped by statuses, starting with systems which have an "Error" status at that time (1) and are grouped under the "Error" group.

To navigate back the user may choose the same navigation through the Group By button with the "System Group" option. 

c. Edit View

Overview:

To enable the customization level the user needs to press the Edit View button which can be found in the footer of the window (picture below).


Customization View

The window appears with additional elements.

(1) Add/Hide group button allows the user to add or hide groups from the initial view.

(2) Show/Hide Systems button allows the user to show or hide systems from the initial view.

(3) Cancel button closes the customization view and the user is directed to the initial view.

In the customization level the tile's functionality is locked.



Show / Hide Groups

Pressing the Add/Hide group button opens a new dialog box where the user can select a group.

(1) To find a particular group in the list the user can use the "Search field". It displays the user all the systems which contain the input from the "Search field".

(2) To hide a group the user needs to uncheck the checkbox. To show a group the user should check the checkbox.

(3) OK button applies all the changes in the view.

Cancel button closes the dialog.



Show / Hide Systems

Same functionality is implemented for the Show/Hide Systems button which opens a new dialog in which the user can select a system.

  • To find a particular system in the list the user can use the "Search field". It displays the user all the systems which contain the input from the "Search field".
  • To hide a system the user should uncheck the checkbox. To show a system the user needs to check the checkbox.
  • OK button applies all the changes in the view.
  • Cancel button closes the dialog.


2. System Detail view


Selecting a system tile directs the user to the second level of the cockpit where she/he can observe a specific KPI which is assigned to the system.

To navigate back to the monitored system view, the user should select the System Selection button located in the header.


Under the header the user can see the tab-menu with a possibility to choose from one of the particular categories such as "ALERTS", "DATA MANAGEMENT", "USER BEHAVIOUR" or "SYSTEM HEALTH".

The user can choose one of the displayed categories (e.g. "DATA MANAGEMENT") to review the results.

List of available tiles present in your installation depends on the version of the Insights, installed Insights modules and other Datavard products.




The user can click on  in top right part of the window to return to the monitored system view. 

Alerts Tab

The first tab 'ALERTS' displays the user all the alerts which are currently present in the system with additional information as is type and the time of alert start and end.

The 'Comm.' (Comments) column in the table provides information about the alert from the Datavard Insights e.g. if the IT support is already working on this error.

The column 'Type' shows the user, if alerts are closed or open.
