(DV-1802) Release Notes
Release Date: 05.02.2018
New Feautures
[BT] Mass Edit of Query Variants Filters - Mass edit functionality was enhanced so that the user can now change the filter values of the queries defined in the query variants in batch. In mass edit of the query variants user can now select mapping of old filter values of the queries to the new filter values based on InfoObject. This mapping is then applied on all selected query variants and filters are changed where applicable. There can be different mappings used for before and after image variants.
- [FT] BEx Analyzer testing - new excel-based Front End test case type. Can be switched on only under expert setup setting. BEx Analyzer testing allows to test workbooks created in BEx Analyzer. Workbooks can be defined by Workbook ID and stored in system or user can test local BEx workbook files from computer. For each tested workbook user can define excluded area which will be ignored turing testing. During test execution, firstly data refresh is run which requires logon to source system. Logon supports two connection types according to system landscape - application server or message server. Then all BEx objects are identified and read, added to excluded ranges. Secondly, all worksheets are read except defined excluded areas. After before and after image execution data variants can be compared and results displayed by standard front end test case type way.
Improvements
- [BT] Added (CTL+F) for Find functionality in Validate Backend Variants Editor. Standard ALV Find function is reused therefore this function always searches for matches in currently displayed variants type table.
- [BT] Runtime information - Runtime information were added into logs so you can now compare runtimes when running multiple executions of the same variant in the same run. Also for table testing runtime information was not collected at all and is now available. For the following Test Cases and their test steps the runtime is calulcated and logged.:
- Query variant execution
- DrillDown variant execution
- DTP variant (load step)
- ERP Report variant execution
- ListCube variant execution
- Table variant execution
- [FT] Time for user input - new setting for web-based Front End test cases (WT, WI, DS), represents how long (in seconds) will be execution of report postponed after loading in Internet Explorer to give user some time for manual initial input (i.e. filtering values). This setting should be used with caution as it goes against automation principle, it is preferred to prepare reports for testing without any need of input necessary for their execution. Setting also available as Test Plan Specific setting (as 'User input allowed').
Bugs
- [FT] BOBJ unsupported report ID length - WEBI/Design Studio reports saved on BOBJ server with ID longer then 6 numbers can now be added to appropriate Test Cases correctly.
- [FT] Removed Windows AD login option for BOBJ server - this functionality is not supported yet.
- [BT] DTP create image dump - Fixed failing of DTP image creation on releases > 7.40.
