(DI-1902) Inputs & Rules

In an input table, you may create rules according to which KPIs are collected. You always define these rules by a custom KPI, however, in the case of a default KPI, you can also change its rules and restrict collecting data.

Input tables

Input tables and therefore the possibility to change a rule of the KPI collection are only available for certain collectors. A list of these collectors can be found in the chapter (DI-1902) List of Collectors with a Custom KPI. You can find by each of these collectors the information about the setup of the Input table and also about the set up of these rules. Every collector contains a different Input table.

To find out which KPI belongs to which collector go to Monitoring settings and click on KPI definitions.

To add a rule click Edit by the Input table and create a new entry.

Change rules for KPI and profile

Assigned groups, profiles, details

We recommend assigning KPI to KPI groups and profiles to ease navigation in Insights. Detail table is assigned for KPIs that have such feature available as default or in case of (DI-1902) Collector for user defined SQL you can define it on your own.

Assign groups, profiles and detail tables

Assigned groups

Assigning KPI to a group eases navigation in Insights cockpit.

Select your KPI and double-click Assigned groups.  Click New entries and fill the fields.

After saving your group refresh transaction /dvd/mon. Your group should be visible in Insights cockpit under KPI groups part with all the KPIs assigned to this group.

Assigned profiles

Here you can see if KPI is assigned to any profile by default, or you can assign it.

Assigned details

Assigned details part displays assigned detail tables to KPI. The collector collects data into KPI in numeric form and further details from this collection can be saved into detail table. You can check if the collector offers such functionality, here in the (DI-1902) List of Collectors with a Custom KPI.
