(Glue-2411) User Guide
- SNP
SNP Glue is certified middleware for integrating SAP systems with big data and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cloudera, and Google Cloud Platform. Thanks to the bi-directional SAP interface, you can transfer SAP data securely and conveniently to other platforms (such as data lakes), or load data from non-SAP systems into your SAP landscape.
SNP Glue is self-contained solution with our own mechanisms for extraction of data from SAP.
These mechanisms provide various ways to access SAP data and CDC using the SAP-certified functionality.
SNP Glue is therefore not affected by the SAP Note 3255746, where SAP prohibits the use of ODP API for 3rd party applications. For SNP Glue this means that the ODP API will not be supported anymore. However, the remaining options can still be used.
On top of that, several new feature have been implemented that fill in the gap that appeared after the ODP API was prohibited. Please, check our release notes for more information.
