(DI-2308) SAP Web Dispatcher
Due to changes introduced to SAP Web Dispatcher as of version 781, it is no longer possible to establish an authenticated connection to Web Dispatcher instances via type G RFC destination. Without a working type G RFC destination, monitoring of the Web Dispatcher instance is currently not supported. See SAP note 3277881 for more details about this limitation.
The prerequisite for adding a system for SAP Web Dispatcher is to have a configured HTTP Destination to External Server. Please check the steps required for configuration in the section Configuration of HTTP Destination
To add a new system for SAP Web Dispatcher monitoring, please follow these steps:
Select the main system type SAP Web Dispatcher
Following screen appears for System information
Fill Destination input field with configured HTTP Destination
When destination filled, click button Check HTTP
If any error occurred, the HTTP Destination is not configured correctly. You might check and maintain the HTTP Destination by clicking the button Maintain HTTP or by calling transaction SM59
The information is retrieved directly from SAP Web Dispatcher and relevant fields pre-filled automatically
(Optional) You might change the System description
(Optional) You might change the System name
Confirm setup
The following screen appears with the auto-detected server for the SAP Web Dispatcher instance. Make sure that the Monitor flag is selected and press Confirm.
