(DI-2305) Configuration of HTTP Destination for SAP Cloud Connector

To be able to communicate with SAP Cloud Connector, the valid HTTP Destination needs to be configured for monitoring. Please follow these steps for the valid configuration:

  1. Execute transaction SM59

  2. Create a new RFC Destination

General information

  1. Fill RFC Destination name.

  2. Fill Connection Type with value 'G' (HTTP Connection to External Server)

  3. Fill Description (Optional)

  4. Fill in valid Target Host and Service no. (Port) of SAP Cloud Connector

Logon & Security

  • HTTP Connection
    For HTTP communication, there is sufficient to set the Basic authentication option and fill in the Logon credentials for the SAP Cloud Connector Administration user.

  • HTTPS Connection
    For HTTPS communication, the following details need to be set:
    1. Basic authentication option with valid Logon credentials for SAP Cloud Connector Administration user.

    2. SSL activated and valid SSL Client Certificate assigned. SSL certificate needs to be imported as described in the chapter (DI-2305) Import Certificate To STRUST Identity

Connection test

When all required fields are configured as mentioned in the steps above, you might execute the Connection Test.

After this test execution, you should receive the HTTP response with status 200. Otherwise, the configuration was not successful.
