The purpose of this document is to explain to the end-user the process of upgrading from Reuse Library release 1802 to release 1805.
This document is primarily aimed at SAP system administrators and consultants.

Installation

Prerequisites

• The system has Reuse Library 1802
• Existing Hadoop Storage is set up

Step-by-step Upgrade Process

The way of launching the Java connector to Hadoop was changed. Instead of calling a command, we have created a new script.

The script file is generated from our Java connector transport, but in order to do so, you have to add a new record to the table /DVD/JAVA_CONFIG.

• paramname - SCRIPT_FILE.
• paramvalue - path for generating a script file for starting java service (*.sh for Linux, *.bat for Windows).

After this step, you can restart your Java service (either directly from the OS level by killing the Java process, or with Function Module /DVD/SAP_JAVA_EXIT_RFC), and use the newest version.
