(SM-2302) SAP ASE BLOB

SAP ASE BLOB is a binary connector for SAP ASE DB as a secondary DB.

Storage setup - SAP ASE

Create new storage in the Storage Management Setup (/DVD/SM_SETUP).

  • Storage ID: Name of the storage.

  • Storage Type: Type of storage. Use storage type BLOB_ASE for the SAP ASE storage.

  • Description: Short text description.

  • Blob Size (Kbytes): During the data transfer, data will be split into portions according to Blob size. Every portion with binary data will be transferred to storage and stored as a separate entry in the cluster table.

  • Database Prefix: Name of the cluster table generated on the storage will contain a database prefix and number with 10 digits.

  • DB Connection Name: existing SAP database connection (DBCO).

Example configuration of DBCO (NSD system) :
