Archiving statistics

New statistics reports reveal the size and access of the archived data aggregated to archiving object or session level.

Support multiple characters in the content repository

By default Archive Link support only two characters in the content repository name. Technically it can have 30 characters, therefore we enabled this size for the content repository name. This is especially beneficial when a logical repository is used.

Rebuild request for service

When data are migrated from the SAP Content server it can happen that received HTTP requests are not able to return multipart data. Rebuild functionality can read such request and if possible repair it.

Mass archiving - standard ADK parameters

Write a report of the archiving object having multiple parameters of ADK functionality such as Package Size, Detail Log, and Log Output which was not visible in the wizard. You are now able to adjust them.

Mass archiving - Support ILM for mass archiving

You are now able to leverage mass archiving functionality with ILM.

Mass archiving - execute archiving on the app server & server group

The scheduler was extended with the option to execute archiving on a specific application server or group.

Authorization role per archiving object

We provide an authorization role to operate the product but for archiving specific objects you might need to have additional authorizations. To speed up the initial setup we created authorization roles that include all necessary authorizations per each supported archiving object.

Usability improvements

General

  • Added documentation also for generated settings.
  • Sender's email addresses for notifications can be customized in the settings.
  • Avoiding checks in content repository server customizing using expert mode.

Mass archiving

  • Existing analysis checkbox can not be unchecked for some objects - explanation message.
  • Excluded customization checks that are not relevant for the test run.
  • Selecting use existing analysis deselects Test run in Mass Arch. wizard - explanation message.
  • Show job info on click on the calendar.
  • Context menu for variant phases in the monitor.
  • Sorts and color calendar items.

Bug fixes

  • Mass archiving: Pre-process variant is not generated for MM_EKKO.
  • Mass archiving: Wizard - generation report name is too long.
  • Mass archiving: Calendar - filter didn't keep values.
  • Mass archiving: Finishing wizard ends up in STACK_NO_ROLL_MEMORY exception.
  • Mass archiving: Store customization button is locked after finishing the wizard.
  • Analyzer: No parallel distribution execution for AO: MM_INVBEL, MM_REBEL, SD_COND, FI_ACCOUNT.
  • Analyzer: Job is not executed - just scheduled.
  • Analyzer: Execution ends up in a short dump when running for SD_VBAK.
  • Virtual index: Displays the wrong document.
  • Content server: Document with a component ID exceeding more than 50 characters is not readable.
