(SP39) PIT Recovery Troubleshooting

  • Action table on storage is missing. The synchronization is not possible.

This issue may occur if the archive is restored to a point in time when it doesn't correspond with the primary database and you executed the synchronization process.


In this scenario, an archive has been restored to a state, where the PIT changelog on the primary database didn't exist yet.

In this case, it is possible to recover the archive, only if it has been restored to a point in time between the last supported action (archiving, reloading, change of structure, Writer operations) and the PIT changelog creation.

To resolve this issue run the report /DVD/SM_HANA_CHL_GEN_ACTIONTAB for the specific InfoProvider. Then, continue as described in the chapter (SP39) Synchronization Process.
