Create new BEx Analyzer variant
To create a new BEx variant, click on the 'Create new variant' button, and a screen for variant creation is displayed. SNP Validate allows you to test workbooks from the current SAP system or from a local file (stored on your computer). Use Search help for Workbook ID on system or Workbook file name (path included) for local files.
Variants created from local file workbooks can be successfully tested only on the source computer where they are stored. The workbook file name has to consist of the full file path and file name, e.g. 'C:\Temp\BExfile.xlsm'.
It is possible to define areas excluded from testing. Set name of worksheet and number of starting row and starting column and number of ending row and ending column for excluded range - use numbers (NOT letters) to determine columns.

Variant variables
It is possible to define filter values, which are used when the BEx variant is executed.
- Click Variant Variables to define variables for the BEx variant. The screen for the variable definition is displayed.
- Click Add Variable to add a new filter for a variable.
- A list of possible variables is displayed.
- Double click on the variable you want to use for filtering of values.
Fill the filter and confirm the next screen.
It is necessary to use the technical format of the filtering values (database format which is different from the BEx workbook format). If you use an incorrect format, the BEx variant execution will be stopped and you must define variables manually.
- Use Remove Variable to remove already defined filtering variables.
When you define the values of a variable filter, you must specify values for all mandatory variables present in a web template. Optional variables can be omitted the same way as by the filter definition of a BEx workbook.
