(DI-2205) SAP NetWeaver Java

The prerequisite for adding a system for SAP NetWeaver Java is to have a configured HTTP Destination to External Server. Please check the steps required for configuration in the chapter Configuration of HTTP Destination for SAP NetWeaver Java.

To add a new system for SAP NetWeaver Java monitoring, please follow these steps:

  1. Select the main system type SAP NetWeaver Java.

  2. Following screen appears for System information.

  3. Fill the Destination input field with configured HTTP Destination.

  4. When the destination is filled, click the button Check HTTP

    1. If the following error occurred, the set user in your HTTP destination has an initial password defined. Try to logon into the PI system with this user and when requested, change the initial password.

    2. If any other error occurred, the HTTP Destination is probably not configured correctly. You might check and maintain the HTTP Destination by clicking the button Maintain HTTP or by calling transaction SM59. Additionally, you might try to access the service “http://<host>:<port>/monitoring/SystemInfoServlet” and check whether this service is accessible.

  5. Additional information is automatically pre-filled.

  6. (Optional) You might change the System description

  7. (Optional) You might change the System name

  8. Confirm setup

  9. The following screen appears with the auto-detected server(s) for the SAP NetWeaver Java system. Make sure that the Monitor flag is selected and press Confirm.

  10. System for SAP NetWeaver Java monitoring was added. You can start the monitoring by clicking the button Start default monitoring in the menu bar. It starts the Collector jobs for PI monitoring.
