(SP35) Upgrade Guide

Prerequisites

Upgrade the OutBoard support package using the SPAM Update (transaction SPAM). As of SP28, it is possible to do the upgrade with just the last *.pat file. A detailed guide can be found under the SPAM online documentation.
Writer Installation NLS Writer
ADSO archiving is supported only for the BW 750 release or a higher version. To enable ADSO archiving import the transport attached to the installation package (NLS ADSO support and NLS Writer ADSO support - Writer Installation).

This step is only required in the case you want to archive an ADSO and you are using the SAP HANA system with the SAP Nearline interface 1.11 (more information can be found in the SAP Note 2320378). More information about the support of an ADSO can be found under the OutBoard user documentation.

Please upgrade the Java connector to the latest version if you are using the Hadoop storage.
