A complete Datavard Glue transport contains two components:
- Datavard Reuse library
- Datavard Glue
Import of transports step by step
For each component mentioned above, you must:
- Copy transports into transport directory of a target SAP system
- Access Transport Management System by entering the transaction STMS
Transport Management System
- Select the target system
Target system selection
- Add the particular transports via menu Extras -> Other Request -> Add
Transport selection
- Select the desired transport and import it by clicking the icon
- Access the Datavard Glue Cockpit by entering the transaction /DVD/GLUE in the target system
License installation
Within the first run, the license must be installed. The license for Datavard Glue is either time-bound and expires after a certain time period, or is unlimited (until 31.12.9999). As the license is bound to a system, every new system with installed Datavard Glue requires a new license.
Glue license installation
In Glue Cockpit, click on License-> License
A new dialog appears. Here you enter all license information. If you do not posses a license, please contact Datavard support.
Special content (ERP)
Note
Please note that this step is valid for ERP systems only.
After you complete previous steps and Glue is successfully installed, it is necessary to execute the report '/DVD/GL_BPL_SPKFL_CONTENT_GEN' which generates content for the special functionality called Meaningful values. For more information how to use or setup this functionality, please see Glue User Guide.
Setup
To support all Glue features, following configuration is required:
- Hadoop storage setup for setting up a connection to Hadoop
- Oozie connector setup for setting up an Oozie connection (required for triggering script execution on Hadoop)
