The generic collector for system log monitoring is named: /DVD/MON_CL_COL_SYSLOG
It collects KPIs about system logs. The KPIs are defined via KPI definition and input table /DVD/MON_SLGMSG2.
Input table /DVD/MON_SLGMSG2 sets extended KPI definition with following fields:

KPIKPI name
KPI Rule NumberKPI rule number
AREASystem log: message area (1st part of message number)
SUBIDSystem log: Sub name (Third character of message name)
Problem class

Problem class for system log 

(E - Problems only, W - Problems and warning, A - All messages)

Priority

Priority for system log

(G - green, RA/RE - red w/o alert, WH - white, YA/YE - yellow w/o alert)

Category

Category for system log

(Application,Batch Input,Background processing,SAP Basis System,Operation trace,Database,Problem notification,Communications data,Spool/print,Security,Transport)

The collector provides also detailed output in detail table for relevant KPIs. The detail table is called: System log info - /DVD/MON_SLGINF2 with following fields:

System ID
Server name
Record ID
Date
Time
SAP process name
Client
SAP user name
Transaction Code
Program Name
System log message group
Sub-name
Message text


Some KPIs are provided in standard delivery with collector as examples:
