The extraction process of Extractor 2.0 allows you to adjust the structure of the Consumer automatically according to the actual structure of Fetcher during the run of the Process Chain.
Example: You created an Extraction Process with an Advanced DSO Fetcher and SNP Glue Table Consumer and scheduled this Extraction Process in the Process Chain. Then, you added a new InfoObject to your Advanced DSO. Normally, you would need to adjust the structure of your SNP Glue table manually by adding the corresponding field to its structure. The same can be done automatically if you enable automatic adjustment of the Consumer structure.
To enable this feature you need to fulfill the following prerequisites:
The checkbox Automatically adjust consumer structure should be selected in the extraction process.
The extraction process should be executed from the Process Chain using the SNP Glue Data Extraction Process which can be found in the section Load Process and Postprocessing in RSPC (see screenshot below) or directly from the report /DVD/GL_RUN_EXTRACTION
The checkbox Automatically adjust consumer structure will appear in the extraction process only for a certain combination of Fetcher and Consumer:
Fetcher type: Advanced DSO Fetcher
Consumer type: Glue Table Consumer
Currently only adding new InfoObjects to the source ADSO is supported by SNP Glue. Removing InfoObjects or changing their data type or length is not supported and will result in an error during extraction from Process Chain.
It’s not enough just to check the checkbox Automatically adjust consumer structure for the setting to take effect. Your Extraction process must be executed from the Process Chain (RSPC) using the specific Load Process SNP Glue Data Extraction Process or from the report /DVD/GL_RUN_EXTRACTION. If you execute the Extraction Process report directly from SNP Glu Object Navigator (/DVD/GL80) or standard ABAP Editor (SE38), the structure will not be adjusted.
