(DI-2205) Health Check

Report: /DVD/MON_HEALTH_CHECK

This report can be run through the transaction: SE38. Ask your consultant to run this report (checkboxes 1 - 3) and then sent the results back to us. You may use the functionality in the upper toolbar: press List >Save/Send, then File and select HTML Format or a other functionality. This way you receive the analysis as one document. After you send us the analysis, we will inform you about the results and if it is necessary, you will use 4th checkbox which deletes / repairs data.

This report contains 4 functionalities:

1. Check system ID length

Displays system IDs (SIDs) that have not the correct length.

2. Check unknown system ID

Checks all tables and analyses, if any of the tables contain SIDs that do not exist in the table /dvd/mon_sysdef and displays all the erroneous SIDs. Each system ID must be in this table. In case it is not, this must be corrected.

When you want to check only some tables, the select option enables you to use different selection criteria, from single values to ranges and exclusions.

3. Check detail table definition

Checks if a version of a detail table is defined in the main table of detail tables definition (/dvd/mon_detdef) and if such a table has any field definition. It will check then if all detail tables used in the fields definitions table (/dvd/mon_detfld) are defined in the main table of detail tables definition and if such a table has any version (/dvd/mon_detver). Also, detail tables used for all SIDs will be checked if they are defined in the main table of detail tables definition and if such a detail table has a version.

4. Check alert relations

All the alerts are defined in the master table /dvd/mon_evtdef. All the tables with the key field Monitoring alert name are checked. If there is some redundant data, you can repair it with the fix functionality.

Fix / Delete erroneous data

This checkbox deletes corrupted data displayed in the 2. or 3. checkbox. To perform the deletion, check other checkboxes along with the deleting one. If the 1st checkbox and the last one are checked, the incorrect SID length is repaired in every table and corrupted data is deleted.

The last check permanently deletes data from database tables displayed in check no 2. Before using this checkbox, always execute the other checkboxes to display the results first. If there is data, which should not be deleted, use the exclusion in the select option (check number 2).

Output from this check is available right after the execution or in SLG1 after selecting:
