analyze how much data could be archived for which data archiving area, this is a very complex analysis and can take quite time to finish
Quick data distribution analysis
users that do not want to wait for detailed results of strugglers analysis can utilize quick data distribution analysis
One of the analysis types for a specified archiving object is a prerequisite in order to use mass archiving functionality.
Run creation and execution
Transaction: /DVD/EM - > Analyzer
You are able to include multiple analyses into one analysis run.
Hit the button New
Choose analyses you want to add into a run
Specify execution parameters
Execute
If you typed your email to execution parameters, you will get the notification email once the analysis is ready.
Results
When the execution of the analysis rub is successfully done, you are able to check the results. Depending on the analysis result contains the following information.
Quick data distribution analysis
Analysis provides data distribution of tables by specific characteristics depending on the selected archiving object. In addition, it provides the size of the particular characteristic value combination.
Example
Archiving object used in example FI_DOCUMNT.
You can check the data distribution of the following tables:
AGKO, BKPF, BSAD, BSAK, BSAS, BSIM, BSIP, BSIS, FAGL_SPLINFO, FAGL_SPLINFO_VAL, FLEXGL, RFBLG
For each of the table you get the following result structure:
Fiscal year | Company code | Posting period | Total number of records |
---|---|---|---|
2006 | 0005 | 1 | 14 |
2006 | 0005 | 2 | 10 |

Straggler and data distribution analysis
The analysis provides detailed results that contain information about how much data can be archived, how much data is blocked, and by which rule. Some of the rules can also provide examples of such data. The analysis contains also data distribution with additional information about archive-able size and how much data is blocked by which rule for specific characteristic value combination.
Example
Archiving object used in example FI_DOCUMNT.
The following screenshot displays results of how much data are blocked by which rule.
Enhanced data distribution structure
Fiscal year | Company code | Posting period | Total number of records | Archivable number of rows | Archiving size | Total size | <Number of lines blocked by rules> |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
2006 | 0005 | 1 | 14 | 14 | 0,02 | 0,02 | 0 |
2006 | 0005 | 2 | 10 | 9 | 0,01 | 0,01 | 1 |
