Symptoms

After scheduling background jobs for collecting data in order to show them in Controller, the data are not available anymore on the Controller's side after a couple of hours of successful collecting.

The manual launching of jobs was needed. After a couple of hours, the problem appears again.

Reason and prerequisites

Strict Security policies on a customer's side. The customer uses a Security weaver which serves to manage the system rights of users. It removes respective roles (eg. SAP roles, /DVD/APPD_ADMIN, /DVD/MON role) after the scheduled time.

Immediately after the role is removed, the Controller stops displaying data.

Solution

The customer has to change/manage a role assignment management for a respective user to prevent the manual job launching. 

The role has to be permanently assigned to keep permanent monitoring.
