To display a business object, double click on it in the 'Glue Object Navigator' tree. Each business object has 3 tabs: General Settings, Properties and Documentation.

General Settings

Following attributes are included in General Settings:

  • Created - date and time of a business object creation.
  • Last change - date and time of the last change performed on a business object and name of the user who created it.
  • Storage ID (Load) - connection to an external storage, on which the tables of the business object are created.
  • Delta Type - mechanism, which specifies how data is extracted (see (Glue-1911) Delta Mechanisms for more information).
  • Package Size - maximal number of records transferred within 1 request.
  • Use meaningful fields - when checked, meaningful field names are used instead of standard SAP names (see Meaningful fields).
  • Use meaningful field values - more explanatory values (see Meaningful values).
  • Truncate target - when marked, data of target tables are deleted at the start of an extraction.

The selected root page could not be found.

Properties

Properties displays all SAP tables and corresponding filters for a business object. If you used the delta type VALUE, TIMESTAMP or DATE, fill for every table a Delta field name, on which the delta is based on.

You may add a custom filter under Business Object Extraction Filters. If you set a filter based on a field name and its value, it will be applied to all business object tables, where this field exists.

When custom filter is set on fields which contain a date or time, it is necessary to follow this format in the field Selection value:

  • Date: YYYYMMDD
  • Time: HHMMSS

The last step is to activate the business object. The activation creates tables in target storage for every SAP table in a business object with the same structure. If all tables are created, extractors and variants with corresponding filters will be created.
After activation the activation log is displayed.

Documentation

The documentation is available only for default business objects.

After activation you may continue with (Glue-1911) Execute Business Object extraction.
