Version 1 Current »

Creation of new BO is currently possible through the Business Objects cockpit. You can navigate to Business Objects cockpit from the main Glue Cockpit.

The selected root page could not be found.

Pressing "Business Objects" button leads to a new screen, which displays the tree with all Business Objects. Root nodes represents Business Process in ERP. Child nodes (the one with folder icon) represents the data category and the leaves at the bottom level represents Business Object. Most of the Business Objects include documentation, which can be viewed after double-click on the specific Business Object and selecting Documentation tab.

On the top of the screen there is a button called "Custom BO", which leads to creation of Custom Business Object. Details of each Business Object can be checked by double clicking the Business Object within the tree. You can check the tables included in particular Business Object and also Documentation linked to the Business Object. You have also the possibilities to generate technical objects defined by Business Object by clicking on Generate button or Create Business Object based on existing Business Object by editing the selected Business Object. Then you need to save the changes under separate object.

Right clicking Business Object allows you to create a copy of BO via menu, generate technical objects defined by BO and in case of custom BO also to delete custom BO.

Selecting the first option opens a pop-up with Business Object creation. There you need to define the name of BO and its description. Name of the BO cannot start with a numeric character as these are reserved for GLUE prototypes.

After confirmation, a new Business Object will be created in the selected category. This business object will contain all tables from the parent BO.
Similarly it is possible to create new BO by adjusting the content of existing template. In this case you need to open an existing BO and go to edit mode. Then you can add new tables into BO definition.

When saving the changes, the pop-up from previous section will show requesting new BO name and description. After confirmation, a new Business Object will be created in the selected category. This BO will contain all tables you defined through the original BO template.
