(Glue-2405) Glue Queue RFC Scheduler
Queue Scheduler is used to execute Extraction Processes which use Queue Fetcher based on Glue Queue contents. The corresponding Extraction Process(es) is executed when a Queue contains data. Processes with the oldest execution timestamp are prioritized.
Parameters:
RFC destination | RFC destination of an SAP system where a Glue queue is stored. For the scheduler configuration, you can choose only fetchers with the same RFC destination as defined in the scheduler. It is not possible to save a scheduler configuration with fetchers with different RFC connections. |
Package size (MB) | Size in MB of one package transferred during Extraction Process execution |
Allow parallelization | If there are spare jobs, Extraction Processes that are already running can be executed again transferring the data in parallel |
Debug log level (can be changed during scheduler runtime) | 0: No logs 1: Standard - debug logs without specific Extraction Process names 2: Extended - debug logs with Extraction Process names included |
Max process runtime (minutes) | Maximum execution time in minutes for one Extraction Process (to avoid jobs being blocked by the same Extraction Process for extensive periods) |
Max number of jobs | Maximum number of jobs that can be used by the scheduler (scheduler job not included) |
Max jobs used for full loads (%) | Percentage of jobs that can be used for full loads (so the delta execution is not blocked for longer periods) |
ALV grid | List of Extraction Processes processed by the scheduler |
ALV Grid
Glue queue: Name of Glue Queue object.
Extraction Process: Name of Extraction Process object.
Variant (optional): When specified, the Extraction Process will be executed with the chosen Variant.
Overwrite variant: Parameter Package size value provided on the Scheduler screen will be used over the value of the parameter Package size that the variant stores.
Last start: Date and time of the last start of extraction.
Status: The icon is displayed in case the extraction is running.
Load mode: Load mode of the last executed extraction.
Create Queue RFC Scheduler
Go to transaction /DVD/GLS.
Click on the Create button in the ALV Grid toolbar on the left.
Enter a name for your Scheduler and select the QUEUE_RFC type.
Enter Max number of jobs & Max jobs used for full loads.
Change additional settings if needed.
Add your Extraction Process(es) (only Processes using Queue Fetcher with RFC destination are allowed).
Save the configuration & Start the Scheduler.
NOTE: Queue Fetchers that have different RFC destinations than specified in Queue RFC Scheduler will not be executed. If such fetchers are selected Scheduler cannot be started. There can only be one RFC destination per Queue RFC Scheduler.
