Retention scan and delete the integration to Outboard Housekeeping

Outboard Housekeeping contains two new tasks that are able to execute retention management scan and retention management deletion.

Mass archiving - Run transport

Wizard contains multiple steps like a definition of an archiving object, selections, and variant generations. Now you are able to add this run to the transport and import it to another system.

Mass archiving - Regular run - Update of default parameters

The regular run takes parameter from the template run, creates a new run, and executes it. The best is to use a relative condition that will be adjusted each time a regular run is executed. For some archiving objects, the relative condition is not the only parameter that should be adjusted. Therefore, the current version also adjusts all default parameters that are used in archiving write report. 

Mass archiving - Monitor - Additional fields

The monitor is upgraded with the following information:

  • Number of files per session
  • Number of records that were archived for the header table
    • Archiving potential is calculated based on header row count. Therefore, it is useful to compare the number of records with the amount of data that was really archived.

Mass archiving - Monitor - Auto-save of last scheduling parameters

Scheduling is an important part of archiving, to make it more conformable you values that you enter in the scheduling screen are automatically saved for the run.

Mass archiving - Batch user for scheduling

Archiving can require wide authorizations, therefore you are now able to schedule archiving under a specific user that has such authorizations.

Retention management - Change of the customization page

Retention management customizing can be a demanding task, you need to decide which fields will be used for the identification retention date and legal entity. To make your work easier, we replaced simple table maintenance with a guided screen with multiple checks to ensure everything is correctly set.
