(DI-2302) Startup Wizard

Startup Wizard is automatically displayed after the first execution of CrystalBridge® Monitoring or until this setup is completed. You might also start this wizard manually by going into the menu path Goto → Startup Wizard.

If CrystalBridge® Monitoring is executed for the first time and no valid license is installed, the Startup Wizard is not displayed.

Startup Wizard contains several steps which help you to configure the central system easier. An initial screen is displayed at the start and each next step functionality is described below. To navigate into the next steps, always press the Continue button.

General administration

Provides basic information about the customer and the administration user (current dialog user who is executing this setup). The customer information should be automatically filled in based on the installed CrystalBridge® Monitoring license. You might change the contact details for the administration user.

If the trial license is installed, this step is not displayed as no valid customer ID generated based on the installed license.

Next to the User name input field is displayed an icon which is indicating whether this user is valid and has the administrator role assigned.

Select deployment scenario

The following deployment scenarios are available:

  • Only central - Basic setup of the central system. This scenario should be always used if you are not using the Fiori application.

  • Central with oData - It checks the OData services and activates them automatically

  • Central with oData and Fiori - It checks the OData and SICF services for the Fiori application and activates them automatically

  • oData and Fiori (remotely) - It checks the OData and SICF services for the Fiori application on the remote system and activates them automatically via RFC Destination

The last three scenarios related to OData and Fiori will be deprecated and decommissioned soon, so use it only when having already installed the Fiori application and using it. More details about the manual setup of OData and Fiori can be found in chapter OData and Fiori Manual Setup.

Central requirements

This screen helps you to set the basic configuration parameters which are used during monitoring.

  • User used for authorizations in CrystalBridge® Monitoring collector jobs

    • Name of the user who is used for the execution of the CrystalBridge® Monitoring collector jobs with relevant authorizations. We recommend using a system user with an administrator role assigned as mentioned in the chapter Central System Setup. Next to the input field is an icon which is indicating whether this user is valid and has the administrator role assigned.

  • Time of daily retention cleanup job execution

    • Time at which the retention cleanup job is executed. CrystalBridge® Monitoring executes daily the cleanup job at a specified time.

  • Noreply e-mail address of notification sender for CrystalBridge® Monitoring

    • E-mail address used as a sender when reporting the alert notifications.

Confirm setup

This step collects all defined inputs in Startup Wizard and when confirmed, it saves the configuration. To confirm the configuration, press the Complete.

Processing results

This is the last step of the Wizard. It provides an overview of all saved configurations with their corresponding statuses.
