(DI-2211) Collector for Oracle Memory Info
This collector collects memory details of the ORACLE database server. There are few predefined KPIs with memory info but additional KPIs can be defined and then mapped through the collector's input table. The technical name of the collector is /DVD/MON_ORA_CL_COL_MEM.
Default KPIs delivered with this collector
The following default KPIs are delivered with this collector:
KPI name | Description | Unit | Detail table |
---|---|---|---|
ORA_MEM_BUFFER_CACHE | Oracle: Buffer cache size | MB | No |
ORA_MEM_FREE | Oracle: Free memory size | MB | No |
ORA_MEM_FREE_P | Oracle: Free memory | % | No |
ORA_MEM_JAVA_POOL | Oracle: Java Pool Size | MB | No |
ORA_MEM_LARGE_POOL | Oracle: Large Pool Size | MB | No |
ORA_MEM_SHARED_POOL | Oracle: Shared Pool Size | MB | No |
ORA_MEM_TOTAL | Oracle: Total memory size | MB | No |
ORA_MEM_TOTAL_PGA_ALLOCATED | Oracle: Total PGA allocated size | MB | No |
ORA_MEM_USED | Oracle: Used memory size | MB | No |
ORA_MEM_USED_P | Oracle: Used memory | % | No |
ORA_PGA_USED | Oracle: Total PGA memory used size | MB | No |
Custom KPIs
The Collector for ORACLE Memory enables you to create custom KPIs based on this collector. For more information on how to create a custom KPI, see the chapter Create a KPI through the Collectors with a Custom KPI.
Non-monitored memory metrics that can be mapped to custom KPI: |
---|
Fixed SGA Size |
Redo Buffers |
Buffer Cache Size |
Streams Pool Size |
Shared IO Pool Size |
Data Transfer Cache Size |
Granule Size |
Maximum SGA Size |
Startup overhead in Shared Pool |
Free SGA Memory Available |
After you create KPI, you will need to map one of the above metrics to this KPI through the input table.
Input table
/DVD/MON_ORAMMP
The rules define which KPI is mapped to a certain ORACLE memory metric. A collector comes with predefined table inputs that start with ORA* and are already monitored.
Technical name | Column name | Description |
---|---|---|
KPI | KPI name | If you created custom KPI to be mapped to metric, fill its technical name here (Z*/Y*) |
NAME | Statistics name | Name of the metric to be reported under KPI name. You can chose metric from table above. |
