For the below-mentioned collectors, you may set a value for their parameters. These parameters are used in the collector's program and provide a generic setup of the collector's execution logic.
Through the setup of parameters, you may adjust the collector's program according to your requirements or system setup (e.g., you might influence the calculation of default KPI values or set up the general properties of a collector). For more information about collectors, see the chapter (DI-2208) Collectors.

To change the parameters of a collector, follow these steps

Go to the Settings > Collector settings (transaction /DVD/MON_COL).
Select a collector name from the below-mentioned list.
Double-click Parameters.
Check the list of available parameters.
1. each parameter has its own default value which cannot be changed. You might change this value in the next step.
Select a parameter for which you want to adjust its value
Double-click the sub-node Custom values.
Click New Entries (F5)
Enter the Profile name. This field defines for which profile will be this custom value of parameter applied. There are two possibilities for how you can define the profile name:
1. Profile name without pattern - you need to fully specify the existing profile name (you might use the F4 help for this field).
2. Profile name with pattern - you might use the wildcard '*' to apply this custom parameter value for multiple profiles. Examples:
  - * : apply for all profiles
  - Z* : apply for all profiles whose name starts with Z.
  - *5MIN : apply for all profiles whose name ends with substring 5MIN
    
    Please try to avoid setup for non-unique combinations when using the patterns in the profile name.
    For example, the three values mentioned above (*, Z*, *5MIN) are not unique for the profile 'ZDEF_5MIN' (in such case, it will select the value defined for profile Z*, not for *5MIN).
Set the custom Value for this parameter

You cannot create a new parameter, delete the existing parameter or change a default value of the predefined parameter for a default collector. This is possible only for custom collectors.
