(2205) Setup and Installation

Installation process of SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering with SDA+

To install SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering with the SDA+ interface you should import transports in a specific order to your system. The best practice is to follow the order of transports that is mentioned in the installation package (readme file).
Usually, the readme file contains four main transports in the following order:

1. Reuse Library
2. SNP Glue™
   
3. SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering with SDA+
   
4. SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering with SDA+ Writer
   

Install a license

SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering with SDA+

1. Access SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering by entering the transaction /DVD/OFF in your BI system.
2. Select License in the top menu and click on License.
3. License screen opens, and you have two options:
   1. Ask for a license - select in the case you haven't received your license or it has expired. In the next dialog fill in the necessary fields as your Email address, Customer name and Description. By clicking Send, the program automatically generates a request e-mail with all the necessary information, which is then sent to our Support team.
   2. Copy to clipboard - copies all the necessary license information, which you may send then to product_support@snpgroup.com.
      
4. Enter your License key received from our consultants and the calendar date until which the license is valid into Valid to.
5. Confirm or press Shift+F6 to complete the installation.

SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering with SDA+ HANA native addon (optional)

1. Access SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering by entering the transaction /DVD/OFF in your BI system.
2. Select License in the top menu and click on License - HANA Addon.
3. License screen opens up, you have two options:
   1. Ask for a license - select this choice in case you haven't received your license or it has expired. In the next dialog fill in the necessary fields as your Email address, Customer name and Description. By clicking Send, the program automatically generates a request e-mail with all the necessary information, which is then sent to our Support team.
   2. Copy to clipboard - copies all the necessary license information, which you may send then to product_support@snpgroup.com.
      
      
4. Enter your License key received from our consultants and the calendar date until which the license is valid into Valid to.
5. Confirm or press Shift+F6 to complete the installation.

You may set up the following storages:

SNP OutBoard™ Data Tiering with NLS (optional)
