(Glue-2111) (Deprecated) InfoCube Extractor

InfoCube replicates InfoCube data into external storage.


To create the InfoCube extractor

  1. Go to Extractor Workbench.
  2. In the context menu of InfoCube to Storage select Create Extractor.
  3. Specify the following parameters:
    • Extractor name – technical name of the extractor.
    • Description description of the extractor.
    • Extractor type this value is predefined, for this type of extractor select the InfoCube to Storage extractor.
    • Source InfoCube – source from which the data is transferred. In this case InfoCube.
    • Target tablename of the created target (Glue) table. For information on how to create a Glue table, see the chapter (Glue-2111) Create a Glue Table.

  4. Specify a Package.
  5. Define a Delta Type to specify which data should be extracted and ensure data synchronization

    Following types are supported:

        • FULL – Standard full load. Data is transferred and appended to the target table.
        • REQUEST - DTP Request based delta. For more information about the REQUEST delta, see the chapter (Glue-2111) (Deprecated) BW Delta Mechanisms.
  6. Optionally, you can check the checkboxes
    1.  "Automatically adjust target table structure" during extraction run, which will automatically alter the target Glue table in case any new InfoObjects were added to the source InfoCube.
    2.  "Use DB aggregation"  for using Database aggregation.
    3.  "Use Cube aggregates" for using InfoCube aggregates.
  7. Fieldname Mapping is automatically generated. 
    Field mapping of the extractor is used to map fields of a source InfoCube to the fields of a target table.
    When a target and source contain fields with the same names, they are linked automatically. If these field names are not the same, you must fill them manually.

All source fields must contain InfoObject names.

8. You may change the transfer rule or edit the routine. For more information, see the chapter Transfer Rules.

9. You may select fields, which are used for filtering (selection) of data by the Variant definition. More information can be found in the chapter Variant Selection.

10. Save and activate. In the case you activate an unsaved extractor, it will be saved automatically before activation.
