(Glue-2111) Extraction Scheduler

Extraction scheduler is a tool that lets you effectively schedule and execute multiple extractions. To access the Extraction scheduler tool, use transaction /DVD/GL_ESCH or a button in the Glue Cockpit.

In the Extraction scheduler screen, there are two lists.

Available objects - List of all active Extractor 2.0 processes and Extractor 1 variants.

Selected objects - Selected Extractor 2.0 processes and Extractor 1 variants.

To select/deselect use drag and drop between two lists. Extraction scheduler also supports a variant system. You can save your selected objects as variants using the Ctrl+S load saved variant using an icon in the picture below or delete the saved variant using the Goto tab. It is possible to access all variant actions using this tab.

If an inactive or non-existent extraction process is saved in the variant, this inconsistency will be detected upon variant load and the inconsistent process will be removed from the selection. A warning message will be displayed.

There are four inputs on the screen:

Job name - This parameter specifies a name for the job.

Number of jobs - This parameter specifies the number of background jobs.

Application server - Optional input, specifying an application server executing the process. If left empty, the current application server will be used.

Application server group - Optional input, specifying an application server group executing the process. If left empty, the current application server will be used.

To execute extractions use the Schedule extractions button. You can schedule these extractions to execute at any time. Extractions are executed in parallel considering the max number of jobs specified in the extraction scheduler using the Task handler. To check the progress of the jobs, you can either use transaction SM37 or the Manage button in the extraction scheduler.
