Details of ABAP Report Test Case

You can specify the following test case details:

  1. RFC destination (optional) - RFC destination of the system where is the report to be executed
  2. Report name (mandatory) - technical name of the report to be executed. F4 help is available for this field (case sensitive)
  3. Report execution WITH/WITHOUT variants - a flag to show if the report contains/is able to contain any variants
  4. Application Log Attributes (optional) - log attributes that are set in running a report
    1. Object
    2. Subobject
    3. External ID

Click on the button 'Show report' to show the report in a new session. This functionality is not supported when the RFC destination is defined for this test case.

Click on button Variants on initial Test Case creation screen allows you to manage variants. If the report has selection screens, for successful execution it's mandatory for the report to contain at least one variant. Display, change, or delete buttons call standard SAP functionality for variant management. Variant management through the Datavard Validate screen is not supported if the RFC destination is defined for a test case. Variants have to be maintained on the report source system.
