Variant Editor serves as a central place for managing existing Validate variants in the system. It provides standard functions to create variants the same as are available for specific Test Cases. This enables you to create variants without the need to directly add them into existing Test Cases. Variant Editor displays each type of supported variants in separate tabs.

Following Test Types Variants are supported in Variant Editor:

Query
ListCube
Table
DrillDown
Transformations
Report
WebTemplate

Following functions are available only in Variant Editor on top of standard functions:

Delete Variants - permanently remove a variant from the system
Transport Variants - add variants definition to transport request

Variant Editor is available through the Validate Test Management screen by clicking on the "Variant Editor" button.

It is possible to search for variants using 'Find' (CTRL+F) functions. Only variants of displayed type are used in the search.
