(Glue-2105) Glue Mass Generation
Transaction: /DVD/GL_MASS_GEN
This program is used for the mass generation of Glue tables, Extractors, and Variants from SAP tables, Infocubes, and DSO's.
You can specify from what object you want to generate by selecting from the provided drop-down menu.
Common settings for generating from SAP tables, Infocubes, and DSO's:
General settings:
- Name prefix - is the naming convention for generated Glue tables, Extractors, and Variants
- Package - where to save objects.
Table settings:
- Storage ID - connection to the storage, which can be a transparent or a binary storage.
In the case of binary storage, a popup window appears after execution with binary storage options in which Container name and Delimiter type are mandatory. For more information, see the section binary storage options.
- Meaningful fields setting helps you to define the field's name. You can use standard SAP field names or "meaningful" ones. For more information, see the chapter Meaningful fields.
- Meaningful values – transforms original values into more meaningful ones, see the chapter Meaningful values.
General extractor settings:
- Truncate table - when marked, data of target tables are deleted at the start of extraction.
Variant settings:
- Package size - specify the number of records, which are transported to external storage in a single package. If a higher number of records is about to be transported, they are divided into multiple packages.
