(OFH-1705) Introduction and Installation

New Features

OutBoard for Housekeeping 1705 enhances the previous version of Housekeeping in several ways:

  • New Standard SAP housekeeping tasks
  • New HANA tasks
  • Support for external job scheduler
  • Possibility to set the specific user for scheduling
  • Possibility to check availability of single system in the landscape
  • Housekeeping task analysis
  • Fiori: New web based UX for Housekeeping (experimental, the package will be delivered on demand)
  • RecycleBin browser improvements

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained the OutBoard for Housekeeping transport
  • You have obtained a valid license from your DataVard consultant
  • System has Add-Ons:
    • SAP_BASIS700 or higher *
    • SAP_BW 700 or higher *

*If you have add-on versions older than 701 SP15, ask us for release-specific package Core

Step by step installation

  1. OutBoard for Housekeeping installation package is set of the following transports:
  • Reuse Library (part of distribution package)
  • Core, Basis, BW, ERP central & CRM central (this transport is mandatory)
  • ERP (contains the executing part of ERP tasks)
  • CRM (contains the executing part of CRM tasks)

Required transports must be copied into Transport Directory of a target SAP system.

2. Access Transport Management System by the entering the transaction STMS.

3. Select the target system.

4. Add the particular transports via menu Extras  Other Request  Add.

5. Select transports one by one in the required order and import then by clicking the icon .

6. Access the OutBoard for Housekeeping Cockpit by entering the transaction /DVD/ERNA in the target system. OutBoard for Housekeeping splash screen will be displayed while RFC connections are being checked.

7. Go to the title bar, click on DataVard button and in the popup menu select OutBoard for Housekeeping – License.

8. Check "Number of licensed systems" and fix it, if it differs from ordered one. Number of used systems cannot exceed the number of licensed systems.

9. Click the button "Copy to clipboard" to obtain the data required for license generation and send them to DataVard consultant by mail (or you can do this directly by clicking the button "Ask for license").

10. Insert the valid license key and "Valid to" date to the screen from the previous point.

11. Access Role Maintenance by entering the transaction PFCG. Import required roles (see section "Authorizations") and assess them to the users. With 2.64 release, new roles /DVD/ERNA_ADMIN and /DVD/ERNA_USER are present. They include all needed authorizations and can be added to roles of OutBoard for Housekeeping users.

12. Create systems landscape (see section "Landscape Editor").
