DV Validate can now be imported on BW4HANA systems. ListCube, Query, DTP and Table background test cases are now fully supported on this system versions.

New Feautures

  • [BT] Listcube characteristic order - From release 1711 order in which characteristics for output are defined in Listcube variant is important. Same order will be preserved in data image created from variant execution. This enables comparison of images with converted InfoObject names. Caution is advised as importing new release into system can cause problems with already running test cases. Execution of same variant in new release can lead into different output structure then in previous release. 

    Test variants are not backward compatibile with previous releases. This applies also for testing using RFC between two systems where on is still runinig DVD Validate on release < 1711. 


  • [TM] HPQC Login per testplan - Option to create settings templates has been added to setting screen in HP ALM replication tab. Template is set of settings saved under template name and during replication it can be selected from listbox. Template can be user specific - available only logged user who created it. When replication is started, user can choose from preset templates or immediately customize settings by click on 'Edit" button, this changes will not affect saved templates. Last used template is saved for each replicated TestPlan (or Directory) and is preselected for next replication. Status mapping is independent from templates.
  • [TM] Transport of settings - user can prepare transport with necessary table content to transport all settings so they can be automatically reapplied when system is refreshed. When user ticks checkbox 'Include test case dependent settings' all object IDs which are necessary as internal number range for distinct identification of Test Cases and Test Variants will be added to the transport. It is recommended to include test case dependent settings when system is going to be refreshed and previous Test Cases are going to be imported again to prevent object IDs overwriting. Transport request is created as transport of copies.

Improvements

  • [BT] If user tries to edit query variant filter in display mode warning message is displayed that contains information that changes will not be applied to variant.
  • [GE] Datavard Validate license can be now generated as hardware key (= customer number) independent.

Bugs

  • [BT] F4 help for Query Test Case - F4 help for query names on releases >=7.40 is now fixed.
  • [BT] Performance scenario execution cycle - Specifing amount of queries to be executed per minute that was less then test cycle duration will now work correctly. 
  • [BT] Filtering on FISCPER in Listcube variant on top of InfoProvider with constant FISVAR value is now supported. 
  • [BT] Query hidden fields support - Images of queires with hidden cell values are saved correctly now.
