You may organize KPIs into groups in the Insights main screen to facilitate the navigation. You may assign KPIs to a predefined group or to your own custom KPI group.

A KPI can be also assigned to several groups. The assignment of KPIs to groups is visible in the main screen in KPI groups.

To create a KPI group

  1. Go to Settings > Monitoring Settings.
  2. Double click KPI groups.
  3. To add a new group click New Entries.
  4. Fill the following fields and Save:
    • KPI group: name of the KPI group

      You can create or modify only KPI groups that start with Z* or Y*. The default KPI groups can not be changed or added.

    • KPI group description: description of the group. The description will appear on the main screen in KPI groups.
    • KPI parent group: KPI groups are displayed as folders, you can set the position and arrange groups into hierarchies, using a parent group. 
    • Position: order of the KPI group in the parent group or in the tree KPI groups on the main screen
    • Changed by/at: user who changed the KPI group and the time of the change
    • Created by/at:: user who created the KPI group and the time of the creation

To display and edit KPI groups

  1. Select one of the KPI groups and in the edit mode change the desired fields.
    Note: you can create or modify only the custom KPI groups that start with Z* or Y*.

To assign KPIs to a KPI group

There are two possibilities how to assign KPIs to a group:

I. The first possibility is the following:

  1. Mark the KPI group under KPI groups and double-click List of KPIs
  2. Click New Entries and add your KPIs
    • KPI name: name of KPI you want to assign to a group (you may use the search help F4)
    • KPI position: KPI position within the KPI group
  3. Save .

I. The second possibility is to:

  1. Mark the KPI under KPI definitions and double-click Assigned groups.
  2. Click New Entries and add your KPI group.
    • KPI group: name of the KPI group you want to assign to your KPI (you may use the search help F4)
    • KPI position: KPI position within the KPI group
  3. Save .

KPIs are now assigned to a KPI group.

Your KPI group assignments are visible on KPI groups tree in the Insights main screen.

If the KPIs aren't visible, please check:

  • the display settings of the KPI groups tree in Settings > User settings.
    For example, to display KPIs which aren't monitored (the Collector job wasn't executed), clear the checkboxes Hide unused KPI from KPI groups and Hide unused KPI groups.
