SNP Glue™ Objects Generation is a tool that is used to generate multiple extraction objects – you will create a whole flow for extraction in one step. In the simplest scenario of SAP table replication, four components are forming form each of the replication processes – Glue Table, SAP Table fetcher, Glue Table consumer, and Extraction Process. These four components represent a configuration – setting up the source object, the target object, and transformation rules. When you use the tool Objects Generation you can create all four necessary objects together. The tool can be used for mass generation of object objects – so you could create whole flows for more tables at once. The following steps show you the simplest way how to use the tool – creating all required objects for more tables in case of full loads.

Prerequisites: Prepare the development package in SE80 which could be used for all Glue objects. In our case, it will be used ZLM_TEST.

Step list:

  1. Start transaction /DVD/GLUE and click Object Navigator.

    3. Leave the rest of the settings as default. Only one setting is checked – Add Glue request – this setting means that the field GLREQUEST with data type: DEC, length: 30, dec places: 0 is added automatically to your target glue table.

    4. Settings for binary storage are useful only in case you use binary storage.

    5. Click on Details in part Glue table generation.
