Application Logs
When the Writer loads and deletes requests in InfoCubes, the information is recorded into the application log. The application log can be accessed with the transaction SLG1.
Fill in the following fields to access the Writer logs in SLG1:

First example of an application log created by a load into an InfoCube through an InfoPackage:

/DVD/NLS_W2_STAT
This table stores information about the loading of data into the NLS archive. This Information regarding which request was tells us which requests were loaded or activated, ie.eg. the number of records that were updated, inserted or deleted.

Records with REQUID = 0 may occur after After successful execution of report /DVD/NLS_W2_CHECK_DSO there may appear records that have the REQUID = 0. When the records are processed with the /DVD/NLS_W2_CHECK_DSO report, the report cannot tell identify which load requests the recordsrequest belongs to an archiving request, so the table table /DVD/NLS_W2_CHECK_DSO STAT is updated with records with REQUID=0. This is usual behavior and doesn't cause any issuesstandard behavior of the system. |
/DVD/NLS_W2_LOAD
In this table the user can insert technical names of DTPs or InfoPackages using Full Load. In case that Full Loads are not allowed (settings parameter This table serves as a white list for DTP full loads. By default the support of DTP full loads by the Writer is disabled (the parameter WRITER_CHECK_FULL_LOAD is by default set to X). In the case you want to enable the full loads, you can disable the parameter WRITER_CHECK_FULL_LOAD by setting it to an empty value (WRITER_CHECK_FULL_LOAD = "") for processing, only the Full Load of DTPs/ InfoPackages specified in /DVD/NLS_W2_LOAD will be processed using Writer. When you want to enable the full load only for some DTPs or InfoPackages you must insert them into this table.

Report /DVD/NLS_W2_DISPLAY_MSG

Displays messages for that inform us about the time when the NLS Writer processes InfoCubes data loads.
/DVD/NLS_W2_CHECK_DSO
Based on the selected Data Store Objects DataStore objects this report will search searches in the active table for locked data. If 'Repair affected DSOs' is checked selected and locked records are found , this will start a background process starts that will move moves the locked records into the an archive. It is possible to set the number of used background processes in the settings of the Writer Settings.
Report /DVD/NLS_W2_CHECK_DSO
/DVD/NLS_W2_CONSISTENCY_REPAIR
This report will repair Standard SAP archiving tables after deletion of whole package by Writer a Dialog job will check In the case whole packages are deleted by the Writer, there may occur discrepancies in SAP archiving tables. In this case this report repairs the standard SAP archiving tables. A dialog job searches for missing packages and fill fills them in SAP tables. When checking the you select Synchronize archived records a BG background job will reload all packages of selected request requests, count the rows and update tables with the correct numbers.

List of affected tables:
- RSDAREQDPAK – add added records for packages which were completely deleted
- RSDANLREQDPAKSEG – add added records for packages which were completely deleted
- RSDAREQ – modify modified number of displayed packages for Fields fields data_packages, copied_dpak, verified_dpaks

This report will delete deletes generated reports for selected InfoCubes. Reports are generated for every transfer rule where the Writer is was used.

This program will repair report repairs the status of an inactive request, which may stay inactive, if the Writer dumps. It will check status the state of an NLS request in standard SAP tables and update this state in the table /DVD/NLS_REQ.

This program has to report must be executed after the import of the NLS Writer. The main functionality is to reactivate all methods and function modules where enhancements for writer functionality are usedin which Writer enhancements are created. It also defines templates for generating transfer rules for loading used during the data load into InfoCubes.
/DVD/NLS_W2_XPRA_ADD_SETTINGS
this program has to This report must be executed after import of NLS Writer. If there is older version of NLS Writer, it only adds new setting parameters. If a new installation it adds all the NLS Writer settings. It also has functionality to set default settings for NLS WriterIt adds missing Writes settings, which were developed for the new Writer version. By selecting Set to defaults this report can also reset the settings for the NLS Writer to default.
